I was delighted to receive the following email message yesterday and Nikki has kindly agreed for me to share it:
I just wanted to thank you for creating such a wonderful product.
I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, which a degenerative muscle disease 4 years ago. About 6 months ago I lost the ability to tie my own laces. So this was something else I was having to ask for help with. I was also faced with the possibility of having to get rid of my Converse for a pair of Velcro shoes.
Last week a friend of mine told me about Greepers, he uses them for running, but thought it would solve my lace tying problems.
I ordered a pair straight away and have been able to put on and tie my own shoes ever since. The laces are genius! And they don’t come undone for me to trip over either!
I have an appointment tomorrow at a rehabilitation centre and I will be taking your leaflet for them to keep and showing off my new laces! I know that my occupational health worker will be very interested in them.
Thank you again for inventing such a clever item.
